The construction industry’s contribution to economic growth has been reduced significantly in recent years due to the influx of Chinese companies which, by many estimates, now manage more than 90 percent of the public and private construction projects in the DRC.

The sector is a multi billion dollar industry with various shovel ready transportation and utilities related infrastructure construction and rehabilitation projects. Mukandu would like to focus on introducing more Congolese expat professionals into the sector to benefit of the infrastructure projects which are frequently structured as public-private partnerships.
